New do

So, Xavier got his first haircut today. I must say it was quite a feat to just not cut him! I did the cut myself as I am not going to pay someone to do it! And mom is out of town, so she can't do it! It looks okay. Although, you can see the spots that I got right when he moved! So don't look closely!

Willie took X and V to the library today. V checked out a couple of DVDs, she pretty excited about it. She watching Chicken Little right now, and she got a Charlie Brown. I'm sure there was minimal prompting from Dad to get that one...not. She is enjoying her summer though. She spends a great deal of time with one of our neighbor girls. They seem to get along well. Her friend is always asking Willie if she can have a snack. She tells us her parents don't feed her. We find that difficult to believe for some reason. Obviously, we have snack foods she really likes!

Willie is off to basketball tonight, "open gym." I'm glad June is almost over, which means these end soon. He is still looking for a teaching job in our vacinity in his content area. It looks like that may not happen for the fall. So, he will do his student teaching at Homedale as planned. (We were hoping he would be able to work and earn his student teaching credit concurrently).

I am still working at St Luke's. I still work mostly in pediatrics, although I am now spending about 4 hours each week at one of our MSTI sites (cancer treatment centers), and this is all adults. I am also working in the NICU. My plate is full and varied. Needless to say I am never bored. But, I really love what I do, luckily. If I have to be away from the kids, it better be a worthwhile job!
