Xav has also had three ear infections this year. Xav had tubes placed at 18 months. Then had his tonsils / adenoids out at about 19 months. He was good for a while, but then we discovered that his sinuses seemed to be the cause of all the ear infections. So, last summer he had a FESS (fancy sinus roto rooter). We also learned that his left ear drum had been eaten away by bacteria and only 25% was left. Over the year it has gotten as good as 70% better but never completely healed. Once it has healed he will need a tympanoplasty to repair it (and then likely a tube in the right ear). Problem is that he now has had 3 new ear infections, so the plans to fix the left continue to be pushed back. He has some mild hearing loss, which we hope will return once the tympanic membrane is fixed.
Work is good. Busy, but good. It's a good thing I L.O.V.E love it because I spend a lot of time there. I am hoping to pick up school again in the fall...crazy but I need it.
Willie is enjoying summer basketball season and is looking forward to another year at West Middle School. He has found his calling in life! I hope he can stay at this school, he really loves it there.
